Fr. Jawahar Jerry Cutinho, OFMCap, was born on 1 December 1987 in Mulki (Mangalore), India. He was ordained on 21 April 2016 in Mangalore. From 2016–2020 he served as Vocation Director for the Capuchins in Karnataka (Mangalore). In 2020–2021 he undertook language/mission placements in Bologna (Italy) and Istanbul (Türkiye). From 2022–2024 he ministered at the House of the Virgin Mary (Meryem Ana Evi), İzmir. In 2025 he was appointed Parish Administrator of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Mersin.
His priestly motto is “Blessed to be a blessing to others.” He serves and celebrates in Konkani, Kannada, English, Tulu, Hindi, Italian, and Turkish. Rooted in Franciscan simplicity, he seeks to build a welcoming parish family and to accompany people in prayer, service, and daily discipleship.
Born in a small village nestled within Sialkot, Pakistan, Javed John is the son of Parvez Masih and Razzia Bibi. His foundational education began in his hometown of Sialkot. Seeking further opportunities, his family later relocated to Lahore, where he successfully completed his Matriculation.
Answering a call to religious life, Javed embarked on his spiritual journey by entering the Capuchin House Lahore seminary on August 1, 2007. His formation continued as he undertook his novitiate in Sri Lanka, deepening his commitment and preparation.
This path culminated in his ordination to the priesthood on July 15, 2021. Father Javed John now faithfully serves the community as a priest at the Mersin Latin Catholic Church. He can celebrate Holy Mass in Urdu, English, Italian, and in Turkish.
Fr. Royston Ranbil Dsouza, OFMCap, was born on 18 August 1981 in Mangalore, India, and grew up in Loretto Parish (Diocese of Mangalore). He entered Capuchin formation on 14 June 1997 in Ujire and was ordained a priest on 12 May 2011 in Mangalore. After serving in education and parish ministry in Nagaland and Karnataka, he pursued Italian in Imola (Italy) and arrived in Türkiye on 5 October 2021. He completed eight months of Turkish at İstanbul Aydın University (Florya) and then served in Istanbul, Antakya, and Ephesus. Since November 2024, he has been Guardian at St. Anthony’s Church, Mersin(Vicariate of Anatolia).
His priestly motto is “To love and serve the people of God.” He speaks English, Hindi, Konkani, Kannada, Sümi, Italian, and Turkish. Known for his disciplined and personable spirit, he enjoys helping those in need, organizing parish life, editing, and films.
